Eve has a song floating in her head.
She hums it. Believes in it. Marvels at it.
Finally, she decided to sing it aloud.
"The little cares that fretted me,
I lost them yesterday,
Among the fields above the sea,
Among the winds at play;
Among the lowing of the herds,
The rustling of the trees;
Among the singing of the birds,
The humming of the bees.
The foolish fears of what might happen,
I cast them all away;
Among the clover-scented grass,
Among the new-mown hay;
Among the husking of the corn,
Where drowsy poppies nod,
Where ill thoughts die and good are born—
Out in the fields with God!"
"Hey! Eve. That's a lovely song. Can I sing along with you?"
"Thank you. I am a trained singer. Do you want to learn the right notes?
"Ahem. Do I have to? It seems like a lot of effort."
"Hmmm...ok, let's just play in the field with God."
"Out in the fields with God' is a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Hello Eve and Eve,
Welcome to the world of blogging :)
Interesting posts. Do keep writing.
Free spirit or lost soul.
Which one are you?
Am I free, or am I tame
Is the name of the game
For in the fields of God
There is no rod
As we make out to be…
A love divine, a song so pure
A tune celest, a hymn so sure
If ever we doubt
In the Word of God
Be assured of a Heaven to see…
