The Red Nude
“I saw her finally.”
“Who?”
“The sleeping red nude with arms open.”
“Where?"
“In the bedroom.”
“Wow.!!”You mean she can see what no one is supposed to see.”
"Yes. And he knows now that she watches over him.”
“How did he react?”
“He was surprised. Didn’t know he always wanted her.. always had her.”
“Oh! He didn’t know?”
“No. But, he knows now.”.
“You are right. That’s all that matters.”
“I want her too, Eve.”
“Why? What’s the point.”
“She is mine. She is me.”
“Exactly, so why don’t you just use the mirror.”
“I don’t want to see the mirror. I want to see him.”
“Hmm..me too. Let’s all watch him. Forever”
“But, what if he objects to it one day?”
“He won’t object Eve.”
“Why not? No one really wants to be naked all the time.”
“He won’t object. He wants you naked too.”

Perfect Colour
"Is that an orange tomato house?"
"It’s a purple brinjal bungalow."
"Can you hear the sparkling old romantic hindi songs on the radio?"
"I can hear the crickets singing while the rain is taking a night pause."
"Wouldn’t it be wonderful to live in this fort?"
"I am living in the conservatory facing the perfect lagoon."
"The fort’s general needs his slave."
"The slave needs his princess."
"Let’s steal the orange sunset from the balcony."
"I already froze some purple lotus from the pond."
"Stone stairs took my breath away."
"Oh! I forgot my breath on the slippery wet pathway."
"I made love under the diamond stars."
"I woke up wrapped in a chilly cloud and a warm heart."
"With a warm body."
"With a cold nose."
"Having sweaty supper with pickled people."
"Watching sneezy sun with rose petals."
"Royal cuisine with toys of mud."
"Pepper in vodka and cocaine in bathtub."
"Who is he?"
"Who is she?"
"A father, a husband, a son makes him."
"A child and a lover contains him."
"Strong, sweet, cold breeze on a hot summer day."
"Sudden fireworks in monsoon are at his command."
"Valiant, willed, stable and perfect."
"Gentle, passionate and insane."
"It is a forever dream."
"It is a forever reality."
"A never ending cycle."
"Like the eternity ring."
"An Orange day full of happiness."
"A Purple night full of love."
"Rough past has melted forever."
"The future is frozen today."
"I want to walk past the dead history once again."
"I am going to walk past the living sea once again."
"I think I am near the end."
"I think it is the beginning."
"Walking together in the opposite direction."
"Defying the norms of human potential."
"Let’s make orange out of purple."
"Then purple out of orange for that perfection."

Graze
“Eve. You must be really famous by now...”
“Errr….I don’t think so. Why do you say that?"
“Well..After living the life of the leading lady in a soap opera, I am assuming you must be famous.”
“Umm…I have been keeping a low profile and I use the disguise when I step out. I hate the attention.”
“Hmmmm…so what is happening now? Have we reached the climax yet?”
“I don’t know, Eve. Lord has not revealed the script to me. I don’t know what will happen in the next scene.”
“Ok…If you had the choice, then how would you like it to unfold?”
“Wow.!! You mean to say if I had the power to direct my own course…what would I want? “
“Yes. !! and Lord has given all his characters the choice to shape their own roles..”
“I think I want the soap opera to end. I want to go back home, sleep peacefully, love a simple man, lead a comfortable and uncomplicated life, and have a pet cat.”
“Hmmm…isn’t that a lot? Don’t you think you are being greedy?”
“You think I am being greedy? Wow! Eve!!!...Did I say I want a million dollars (sorry a billion pounds), or solitaire diamonds, luxury villas, a rich good looking husband…. I just wished for a simple life. What’s wrong with that?”
“I didn’t say there is anything wrong. I just said you are being greedy.
“I am not greedy.!!!”
“Calm down. There is nothing wrong in desires. But have you ever thought about what daddy said to you about grazing….”
“Grazing?"
“Yes. He asked you to take a pause. Stop. Breathe. Graze.”
“Oh yes.!! He is right. Sometime when we stop searching for the things we want, they find you.”
“Let’s graze.”
“Let’s graze.”

Living dead
“I can hear the heartbeat.”
“That’s not possible. It’s dead.”
“I know. I was there at the funeral.”
“So, what are you talking about?”
"Do you think the dead can come alive?"
"No!!. Unless it's a miracle from God."
“Ummm...true. Maybe I need to sleep. Maybe I need a drink.”
“Do you need a shovel? I can help you dig.”
“Naaaah…it’s better to leave the dead in peace.”
“You are right. Do you need ear plugs? “
“I need a mop to wipe the blood trail.”
“Go and wash your hands also.”
“ You should wash your hands. You were there with me.”
“My hands have always been clean.”

Happy
“Why is it so difficult to let go?
“Huh!!..what? I don’t remember anything. Did I forget something again?”
“Oh, shutup, I am not in a mood for a tedious conversation with you....I feel so much of physical and emotional fatigue”
“ Oh..Fatigue is a common health complaint. It is, however, one of the hardest terms to define, and a symptom of many different conditions.
Fatigue, also known as weariness, tiredness, exhaustion, or lethargy is generally defined as a feeling of lack of energy. Fatigue is not the same as drowsiness, but the desire to sleep may accompany fatigue. Apathy is a feeling of indifference that may accompany fatigue or exist independently“
"Jesus. shut up. I am not in a mood to talk either.”
“Ok..”
“I am so happy for him. He finally got what he really wanted.”
“....”
“My prayers are always with him.”
".....”
“Eve, are you there?”
“....”
“???....You are not serious about this.!!! Oh come on, you know I want to talk...”
“I know.”
“………………………………………………………………………………………….”
“………………………………………………………………………………………….”

Ember
“Hey, that is beautiful.”
“Yes. It’s gleaming in the darkness, bewitching, seems magical and beautiful and gentle.”
“It’s the light of fire, the light that guides, warns, protects and allows life to come alive.
“It keeps you warm and is essential for survival. I love it. ”
“What do we do with it Eve?”
“Let’s hold it in our hands and bring it close to our heart.”
“Ouch.”
“ What happened?”
“I just burnt my hand.”
“ What about your heart?”
“My heart is glowing warmly, still basking in the light of the ember”
“What will you do now? You can’t hold it in your hand for sure.”
“ Sigh. I agree. The hand is burnt but the heart is not. ”
“I know. But the ember doesn’t belong with you. It has it’s defined place. It is supposed to light up many lives, guide many hearts, and bring warmth to many cold spirits. God created it to burn endlessly, with love and passion. It has a purpose that you don’t understand but you have to trust the Lord. It was not created for you. ”
"I understand that. But, I am afraid of the dark. It was my only light.”
“Don’t worry. It’s God’s ember. It can spread light from a distance also.”

A Love Story
A baby turtle found itself caught in a net.
Scared and frightened, she didn’t know what her fate was. But, when the benevolent fisherman held her in his hand, looked at her with his soft eyes, the baby felt she was safe. As he opened his net, and dragged the whimpering, screaming shark out, towards the bubbling hot cauldron of water, the baby turtle watched. She knew that the man liked shark fin soup and had a ravishing appetite for sea creatures. The baby turtle thought about her impending doom.
But the fisherman just smiled at her and gently cradled her. She fell asleep finally with so much tenderness, believing that she was home. When the fisherman’s family saw the turtle, they were overjoyed with the catch. The fisherman tried to hide the turtle, but it was too late.
He had unwittingly fallen in love with the small baby turtle. The baby turtle had not known any other home and believed that the fisherman and his family was her family too. She loved him with all her tiny being.
Now, this was heartbreaking for both of them. If the fisherman lets her go and releases her back into the sea, the baby turtle would surely get eaten by the sharks. If he keeps her at home, she would be eaten by his family….
“What kind of a story is this? It’s too impossible a situation?
“It’s a love story.”
“How can a man fall in love with his food?”
“Why not?”
“So how does it end?”
“I don’t know. How do you think it should end?”
